“In 16 minutes, the food was gone,” said volunteer Hasher Ahmed after handing out 100 meals in Parc-Extension. Montreal restaurant owner, who has been giving away free meals for three years, will open a Halal Soup Kitchen. Johanie Bouffard reports.
“There’s a base of support in Montreal,” says NDP leader Jagmeet Singh, while making a campaign stop in the city on Friday. The party looks to hold onto their only seat in Quebec in Montreal’s Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie. Alyssia Rubertucci reports.
