As of Sunday, 49 percent of the snow has been cleared in Montreal. Garbage pickup is set to resume on Monday and the city asks residents to place trash on the cleared side of the street.

“He won’t be forgotten,” said Maggie Chittspattio, from Resilience Montreal, about the death of an Indigenous homeless man after being found in a Westmount shopping mall near the entrance to a metro station. Gareth Madoc-Jones reports.
“The community is shocked. Heavily shocked,” said Shaikh Imran Shariff, Imam of Mosquée Madani, on the shooting death of 20-year-old Arab-Montrealer Mouaade Fakhoury. The young man is the city’s fourth murder victim of the year.
Delta Air Lines and its subsidiary, Endeavor Air, have released a statement in response to “false and misleading assertions” about the flight crew on the plane that crash-landed at Toronto’s Pearson airport on Monday.
