Quebec’s only independent Indigenous Health Centre needs donations

The Indigenous Health Centre of Tiohtià:ke is asking for donations to hire their first executive staff and set up shop in official location. They say the death of Joyce Echaquan, an Indigenous woman who died at Joliette hospital after filming staff hurling racist insults at her, is only one example of why Indigenous run services are so desperately needed in the community.
