Mail will begin moving again on Tuesday as Canada Post employees return to work for the first time in more than a month after the federal government pushed to end the stoppage.

The Labour Minister has asked the Industrial Relations Board to end the national postal strike. Steven Mackinnon says he’s not calling for binding arbitration, but says post service will resume, as the strike goes on “time out”.

The Trudeau Liberals say the GST tax break will save you hundreds and boost sales for small businesses. But the minister of small business is making no promises the government will look at a reduction in taxes on a more permanent basis. Rechie Valdez joined Caryn Ceolin to discuss.

Starting in January, Air Canada will require low-fare customers to some destinations to check carry-on bags and pay a fee. The airline will also impose a seat selection fee for these flyers. Michelle Mackey has the turbulent reaction from travellers.
