Wildland firefighters in Canada aren’t “firefighters” – at least according to federal classifications. That means they have a later retirement age, and lower pension contributions. They’re asking for reclassification.

“We were prepared,” said Laurence St-Aubin Fréchette, a Quebecer sailing around the Caribbean with her partner, as they made sure to anchor in a bay in the Dominican Republic to avoid feeling more of the effects of Hurricane Beryl.

“I’ve documented my entire career on Facebook,” says Jennifer Gasoi, Grammy-winning musician who released a new song today, hoping it will help her regain access to her hacked Facebook account. Pamela Pagano reports.
