Mark Carney says the Ei waiting period will be waived, and corporate sales & income taxes will be deferred during the trade war with the U.S. – and his government will cut red tape on trade, natural resources & infra projects.

With a federal election widely expected to be called this weekend, Canada’s premiers met with Prime Minister Mark Carney in Ottawa Friday, to discuss the urgent need to reform internal trade within the country. Xioali Li reports.

“This hurts,” said Heidi Ektvedt, mayor of Baie-D’Urfé, about the closure of eight SAQ liquor stores in the province. Ektvedt and six other mayors are now demanding that the Quebec government keep them open. Gareth Madoc-Jones reports.
