The federal government says it’s still not ready to consider binding arbitration or legislation to end the postal strike. A special mediator is now leading negotiations, but the union & Canada Post say they’re not close to a deal yet.

While the House of Commons has returned, the Green Party leader says it’s like limbo – nothing ever changes. She’s referring to the stoppage of House work, as Tories demand more documents relating to Sustainable Development spending.

“It’s frustrating because sometimes we’re waiting for supplies,” said Melanie Ouellette, co-founder of Baltic Club, a small Montreal business. She drove two hours to pick up supplies Monday morning due to the Canada Post strike. Erin Seize reports.

“Very stressful,” said a resident following the removal of parking spaces in Villeray-St-Michel-Parc-Extension area. A non-profit is taking legal action against the City of Montreal over its bike paths. Johanie Bouffard reports.
