Cameras captured U.S. President Joe Biden as he appeared to fall asleep during a meeting with African leaders in Angola. The meeting was held to advance a plan to extend a railway that could critical minerals from Congo and Zambia to the west.

“I was left to die,” says Geneviève Rioux, a Quebec woman that survived an attempted femicide in 2018. She recently published a fictional novel inspired by her story and the realities of violence against women. Alyssia Rubertucci reports.
