Election campaign ‘tight’, ‘stressful’: Legault

MONTREAL – Francois Legault is describing Quebec’s election campaign as “tight” and “stressful” as two new polls show his Coalition Avenir Quebec running neck-and-neck with the Liberals.
A new Ipsos poll shows the Coalition at 32 per cent support, compared to 31 per cent for Philippe Couillard’s Liberals.
A different survey by Leger and Le Journal de Montreal also puts the Coalition slightly ahead, at 32 per cent to 30.
Legault answered a question from a young boy at an event in Sherbrooke, Que., this morning, telling him the race was “tight, and therefore a bit stressful,” but that he was working hard.
The Ipsos survey contacted 1,250 respondents between Sept. 26 and 28 and has an error margin of 3.2 per cent, 19 times out of 20.
The Leger poll surveyed 1,500 people online between Sept. 24 and 27.
