Montreal police open homicide probe after body found in garage in Lachine district

Montreal police say they’ve opened a homicide investigation into the death of a man found inside a garage.

Police say the body of the 27-year-old was discovered in the garage of a residence in the city’s Lachine borough.

Const. Jean-Pierre Brabant says the body bore marks of violence.

The slaying is the city’s 19th recorded homicide so far in 2021.

Police set up a perimeter and major crimes investigators are on the scene with crime scene technicians.

Montreal police say no arrests have been made in the case.
