Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tests positive for COVID-19.

He made the announcement on Twitter Monday saying, “This morning, I tested positive for COVID-19. I’m feeling fine – and I’ll continue to work remotely this week while following public health guidelines. Everyone, please get vaccinated and get boosted.”

He’s expected to speak at 11:15 a.m. at a remote news conference and take questions from the media.

Trudeau revealed last Thursday that he was going into isolation for five days after finding out the previous evening he had been in contact with someone who tested positive.

He told The Canadian Press on Friday that it was because one of his three children had tested positive for COVID-19.
