Quebec adds 38 COVID-related deaths, 24 more patients in hospital

Quebec adding 38 more COVID-19 deaths, while hospitalizations saw a rise of 24 patients. ICU numbers with a decrease of 13 in the last 24 hours.

Close to 11,000 health care workers (10,932) are absent from the system for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.).

Quebec with 14,778 fatalities total since the pandemic began.

2,405 people being treated for the virus in hospital – 243 new entries and 219 discharges.

Of those, 88 in ICU, with seven newly admitted and 20 released.

A total of 2,909 new infections, with 817 tests self-declared by Quebecers who were positive. The overall case numbers likely an undercount as access to PCR tests is limited to specific groups and not everyone self-declare their rapid tests.
