Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board announces several school closures due to storm

As over 140,000 Hydro customers are still without power in Quebec after Saturday afternoon’s violent storms, some schools have had to close on Tuesday, May 24 due to power outages.

Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board:

•Arundel
•Morin Heights
•Sainte-Adèle
•Mountainview High School (Batshaw)

“We are hoping to re-open the closed schools for Wednesday,” the board said in a statement. “If your child’s school is not listed above, it is open as usual.”

“We apologize for the inconvenience and we thank you for your understanding in this particular circumstance,” they added.
