Canada-wide warrant for Montrealer Youcef Bouras, wanted for first-degree murder

Longueuil police (SPAL) announced a $50,000 reward on Tuesday, for any tip that leads to the arrest of one of Canada’s most wanted criminals.

Youcef Bouras, 25, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of Muhammad Adhane on Oct. 15, 2017.

INTERPOL has issued a Red Notice for him.

Bouras is from Montreal and has many ties to the city – but investigators have reason to believe that he may be in Algeria, although they say someone in Montreal knows exactly where he is.

On Oct. 15, 2017, at approximately 6 p.m., an argument broke out near the Centre Jacques-Cartier shopping centre, located at the corner of Chambly Road and Sainte-Foy Blvd., in Old Longueuil.

A few minutes later, gunshots were heard about 200 metres away, on Grant street. Police officers dispatched to the scene discovered the body of the victim, 18-year-old Muhammad Adhane. He had been shot twice in the chest with a firearm. He was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

SPAL are working with the BOLO program and Sun Youth.

“Take no action to apprehend Bouras yourself. He may be armed and dangerous. Anyone assisting Bouras in evading arrest may be considered an accessory after the fact and face charges,” says the BOLO post.

Bouras is 5’8″ and 143 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes. BOLO says that he is Algerian and Canadian – with ties to Algeria and speaks French. His last known residence is Montreal.
