Fireworks set to light the sky for Canada Day celebrations

Canada Day celebrations are set to return to Montreal in 2022.
This year’s festivities will feature live music, a Canadian Armed Forces display, family-friendly activities, and of course fireworks.
Montrealers can make their way down to Old Port and Laval for most of the day’s activities.
Starting at 1 p.m. an official 21-gun salute to mark the day will happen from Clock Tower Quay.
Following the 21-gun salute, photo-ops will be available with members of the RCMP and Canadian Armed Forces.

Over at Carré St-Pierre from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Ô Canada Tent, will have face painting, games, Canada Day-themed giveaways, and the sharing of the Canada Day cake (3:30 p.m.).
In Laval, starting at 2 p.m. there will be family-friendly activities setup including an obstacle course, artistic workshop, face painting, inflatable structures, food trucks and fair games.
Starting at 8 p.m., following all the activities at Carré St-Pierre — Samian, Naomi, Matéo, Annie Villeneuve, Marc Dupré and Joseph Edgar will take to the stage leading up to the fireworks.
And starting at 8:30 p.m. in Laval following the activities, Paul Kunigis and QW4RTZ a capella will perform leading up the the fireworks display.
