Medical students at McGill University are raising funds for charity through a movie night under the stars.
Students from the university’s Pediatric Cancer Fundraising Committee are hosting a “Night at the Stadium” event at Percival Molson Stadium.
The event takes place Saturday from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The movie being shown will be the 1998 comedy “The Parent Trap” featuring Lindsay Lohan and Dennis Quaid.
There will also be food trucks and a cheerleading performance.
Tickets are $22 per person. Proceeds raised will go to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Organizers say a similar event last year raised more than $16,500.
“Moreover, we were fortunate to have multiple childhood cancer survivors attend, making the event a truly humbling and inspiring experience for all those present,” said organizer Emilie Groulx-Boivin.
