Man charged in connection to Liberal candidate office break-in

Quebec provincial police have charged a 47-year-old man in connection to the break-in at Liberal candidate Enrico Ciccone’s office last week.
During the incident it was reported the perpetrators stole laptops, broke into locked filing cabinets, and caused significant material damage, adding that footage was taken from the office’s security cameras.

The Sûreté du Québec said sometime during the week, they received a tip stating someone tried to sell a medal from the National Assembly online.
The SQ was able to identify a man, who has been known to police dating back to the 90s in relation to thefts and other crimes.
Police say the man will be in court for a bail hearing on Thursday.
