Running legend Eddy Nolan leads Montreal’s Terry Fox Run

The 42nd edition of the Terry Fox Run was held in person on Sept. 18 for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began, virtual walks held for the last two years. Uniting the country from coast to coast to coast once again.

Canadians once again laced up their shoes to take part in this year’s Terry Fox Run, with more than 650 communities across the country fundraising for cancer research.

At Montreal’s Old Port, long-time runner and cancer survivor Eddy Nolan kicked off the run.

The 42nd edition organized by the Terry Fox Foundation was held in person for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began, after virtual walks were held for the last two years.

Participants could walk, run, blade or wheel in the Terry Fox Run.

To date, the foundation has raised more than $850 million for cancer research.
