Three people stabbed at wedding in Montérégie: report

Police say three people were injured in a stabbing in the Montérégie region on Saturday evening.

The incident took place around 10 p.m. in Saint-Pie, a town about 75 kilometres east of Montreal.

TVA Nouvelles is reporting the stabbing took place at a wedding. The bride, her father and another guest were reportedly the victims.

All three suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The 27-year-old suspect fled on foot. He was located by police at 2 a.m., according to Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Stéphane Tremblay.

Police say the suspect was also injured and was taken to hospital.
