New bike path in Ahuntsic-Cartierville

The city of Montreal unveiled a new bike path on Louvain street east in Ahuntsic-Cartierville.

The section of Louvain east, between Papineau and Saint-Hubert, has been reconfigured, moving a parking lot to make way for a bike bath on both sides of the street.

The city says they have responded to requests from citizens to make this busy section safer to cyclists and for pedestrians, including children attending St-Isaac-Jogues school.

The reconfiguration also aims to slow down motor vehicle traffic.
