Suspects arrested at DDO gas station with illegal gun: SPVM

Montreal police say two suspects were arrested at a gas station in the West Island after an officer discovered a loaded gun in their possession.
Police say the two suspects pulled up at a Dollard-des-Ormeaux gas station Monday evening.
The SPVM says a sergeant was on site and performed a “routine check of their vehicle” under the Highway Safety Code.
“During the operation, a noise caught the officer’s attention. Looking under the vehicle, the officer discovered a gun on the ground,” police said in a release. “The gun was fully loaded and ready to fire.”
Police say a search of the vehicle led the officer to finding a large capacity magazine and ammunition in the glove compartment.
The two suspects, who were known to police, were arrested.
