Hundreds take part in annual Walk4Friendship to help those with special needs

The hundreds of participants raised more than $400,000 for Friendship Circle, an organization bringing friendship and inclusion to those with special needs.

An annual community event raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help children, teens and young adults with special needs.

Hundreds of people took part in the Walk4Friendship event Sunday at Montreal’s Old Port.

Participants raised more than $400,000 for Friendship Circle, an organization bringing friendship and inclusion to those with special needs.

The money raised is expected to fund several programs designed to nurture a child’s social, physical, and cognitive skills.

Families enjoyed brunch and entertainment, including music from the Friendship Circle choir.

Those walking in the Old Port benefitted from a warm, sunny autumn day.
