75-year-old dies after DDO house fire

A 75-year-old man died of his injuries after a house fire in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, on Montreal’s West Island.

It happened just after 5 p.m. on Monday, at the man’s two-storey home on Paris street, near Seville.

Firefighters pulled the victim out, but he was seriously injured and unconscious when taken to hospital.

He later succumb to his injuries.

Police do not consider the fire suspicious, but the arson squad is investigating the circumstances to determine what exactly happened.
