Police reopen cold case of Lévis woman who went missing 25 years ago

Police in Quebec are reopening a cold case of a woman who went missing in 1997 in Lévis.

Lévis police they’ve received new information into the disappearance of Pierrette Bouffard.

Bouffard went missing “without a trace” in January 1997 in Lévis. She was 40 years old.

Police say a woman matching Bouffard’s description was seen at the Cité de la Santé hospital in Laval sometime between 2016 and 2019 “by an employee who is also a family member of the missing person.”

As a result, Lévis police are setting up a command post at Cité de la Santé Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

They hope anyone with information will come forward.
