Bomb threat leads to evacuation of Repentigny school

By News Staff

A school in Repentigny, northeast of Montreal, was evacuated due to a bomb threat Monday afternoon. It was later deemed unfounded.

The École Secondaire Jean-Baptiste Meilleur on Iberville Boulevard was the target of a bomb threat just as classes were ending Monday.

After police evacuated the school and verified the grounds, they determined the premises were safe.

They are investigating to determine who made the threat.

This is the fourth police operation at a Quebec school in recent weeks.
