16-year-old shot with BB gun near Anjou elementary school

A 16-year-old teenager was a victim of shooting with a BB gun in front of an Anjou school on Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened in from of l’École Primaire Chénier – an elementary school on St-Donat avenue.

Police first received a 911 call around 1 p.m. about a young man injured possibly due to a shooting but police determined he was injured by a BB gun.

The victim suffered a minor injury to the lower body and was transported to hospital.

The suspect fled the scene by foot and has not yet been arrested.

A perimeter has been set up in front of l’École Primaire Chénier as police investigate the circumstances surrounding what happened.
