Veils of Bollywood performs this weekend in DDO

Veils of Bollywood: Two sisters find a magical fabric - dupatta, which transports them into alternate universes of Bollywood and Indian dance forms. Check out this show Saturday at Hindou Mandir DDO in Montreal’s West Island.

It is an immersive cultural mediation experience of Bollywood and Indian dance, music, food, fashion and culture. It is an adventurous story of 2 sisters who find a magical fabric (dupatta) which transports them into alternate universes of Bollywood and Indian dance forms.

The show features a diverse cast of 7 dancers from Montreal, Laval and Brossard. Guest artists have been invited to share their art through music and dance: Barbara Diabo representing Indigenous dance, Ahmed Soroko with music composition and Virushigaa (viru-shee-gaa) Srikumar (bharatanatyam bhaarut-ana-teeyam classical dance).
