Wall collapse in Montreal’s Little Italy leaves apartments fully visible, no one injured

By News Staff

This might not be something you come across on the daily.

The entire wall of a building in Montreal’s Little Italy – collapsed last Thursday, Dec.15.

And the apartments there on St-Dominique street, on full display – looking more like a dollhouse.

Those who live there, forced to evacuate. No one was injured.

The fire department said the surface wall collapsed likely after an adjacent building was demolished recently.

The building will be repaired and an engineering report needed.

But for the tenants, it will be a long while until they are able to return.
