A memorial service will be held Tuesday night for the seven-year-old Ukrainian girl who was killed in a hit-and-run in Montreal.
Mariia Legenkovska was struck by a motorist while walking to school on the morning of Dec. 13 – two months after fleeing the war in Ukraine with her mother and two siblings.
The girl’s father is fighting in Ukraine against the Russian invasion.
The memorial service will be held at the Saint-Sophie Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Montreal at 7:30 p.m.
Several members of the Ukrainian community are expected in attendance.
