Motorist killed in Montreal North collision

A motorist was killed early Monday morning after hitting a tree in Montreal North.

It happened at around 4:30 a.m. on Léger Blvd., near Fortin Avenue.

The victim – of which the identity is still unknown – was alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

The person was heading east on Léger, when they lost control of the vehicle, and hit a tree before the vehicle went up in flames.

Léger was closed between Fortin and Rolland as police analyzed the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
