The Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) government maintains its lead in the polls.
In a recent survey conducted by Léger and Le Devoir 40 per cent of respondents said they would vote for the CAQ if there was an election in the next few days. That’s one point lower than at the last provincial election on October 3, 2022.
Opposition parties were mainly neck-in-neck for second place: 18 per cent of respondents said they would vote for the Parti Québécois (PQ), 17 per cent chose Québec Solidaire (QS), 14 per cent said they would vote for the Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ), and 9 per cent said they would choose the Conservative Party of Quebec (PCQ). Those numbers represent a slight increase for the PQ and QS. The PLQ staying stable and a drop of four points for the PCQ. That’s the lowest support the party has seen since 2021.
