Suspicious fire at Merck Kirkland office

The Montreal police arson squad is investigating a fire at the Merck pharmaceutical company’s office in Kirkland.

A 911 call came in around 2:10 a.m. Monday morning.

Once on the scene firefighters found an incendiary object had been thrown into the front door of the building located on the Trans-Canada Hwy.

The glass window of the door was also smashed.

The damage was minimal and no one was injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
