Laval restaurant the target of a suspicious fire

A restaurant was the target of a suspicious fire caused by an accelerant of some sort on Wednesday night in the Chomedey district of Laval.

Laval Police was called around 11:45 p.m. for a broken window at the Nuits de Beyrouth restaurant located on Curé-Labelle Boulevard, north of Notre-Dame Boulevard.

When police arrived on the scene, firefighters were already in the process of controlling the fire.

The crime scene was secured by a perimeter, and investigators and forensic identification services are expected to arrive on site Thursday.

The extent of the damage to the establishment is unknown, but no one was injured as the restaurant was closed at the time of the incident.

This is the third time the restaurant has been hit with arson.
