16-year-old stabbed in RDP Sunday afternoon

A 16-year-old was stabbed in Rivière-des-Prairies late Sunday afternoon.

It seems an altercation between several people broke out around 4 p.m. near the corner of Perras and Rodolphe-Forget Blvds.

The teen was seriously injured in the upper body and took refuge in a nearby establishment.

He was transported to hospital, but his life is not in danger.

Two suspects were arrested.

“Not far from there, when we found the victim, there was two men aged 16 and 17 years old that were found by officers,” said Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson from the Montreal Police. “They [fit] the description of potential suspects so they were arrested in that dossier and for now they were met by investigators and we’ll see soon if there are any [charges] against them.”

The investigation is ongoing.
