Collège Stanislas teacher facing sex assault, luring charges

A teacher at a private Montreal college is facing multiple sex crime charges allegedly committed against six students at Collège Stanislas over the past few years.

Alexandre Gagné, a 48-year-old economics teacher at the Outremont school, was arrested Tuesday morning.

Gagné faces more than a dozen counts, including sexual assault, distribution of sexually explicit material, luring, and distribution of cannabis to two minors.

He allegedly victimized several students between November 2019 and December 2022.

In December 2019, a former physical education teacher at Collège Stanislas received a 10-month prison sentence for possession of child pornography.

CityNews reached out to Stanislas for comment but did not immediately hear back.
