Hundreds of Montrealers came out Saturday to take in the final weekend of Cabane Panache – Verdun’s urban sugar shack.

There was classic sugar shack food, maple taffy on snow and many other food options from Verdun restaurants – some with a sweet sugar shack twist.

Families gathered on Wellington Street, which was voted the coolest street in the world last year, to take in the grub and activities, like street hockey in a rink bordered by hay bales.

There was also live music and a lumberjack workshop.

It’s the 11th edition of Cabane Panache.

The four-day festival wraps up Sunday.
