Montreal police provide reassuring presence outside École secondaire d’Anjou

By News Staff

Montreal police (SPVM) were stationed outside École secondaire d’Anjou on Thursday – adding a reassuring presence to students, staff, and parents after a vehicle reportedly drove by the day before, with one or multiple suspects inside, allegedly brandishing a weapon – looking for someone witnesses said.

No gunfire was discharged and the vehicle was later found by SPVM in RDP, reportedly with no weapons onboard.

It happened around lunchtime on Wednesday – near a bus stop on Saint-Donat Avenue, near the school.

Police were quickly called, as students allegedly said threats were being made.

No arrests have been made so far.

In September, a 14-year-old boy was stabbed outside the same high school and four minors arrested.
