Man saves kitten from partially frozen waters in Montreal

One man is being considered a hero after saving a kitten from partially frozen waters in Montreal.

In a video posted to a Facebook group, a man can be seen laying outstretched on the ice trying to get to the kitten, which appeared to have wondered out near a bouy.

Melting ice made it difficult for the kitten to make it back to shore.

“A few of us witnessed a hero in action this afternoon and whoever this guys is, he should know that he is very inspirational. If you know him, please shower him with all the holiday chocolates he deserves!” said Cindy Intini in a Facebook post.

Brian Hawkins adding, “A little kitten that had crossed the ice flow from shore and fell into the icy water, clawing it’s way onto a further ice flow before making another attempt at swimming back across the icy water towards it’s sobbing, wailing owner. The poor thing nearly drowned twice but managed to get back on the ice closer to shore and was going into shock from hypothermia and couldn’t walk.”
