Teen in critical condition after crashing into concrete wall in Saint-Leonard

MONTREAL – A 19-year-old motorist is fighting for his life in a Montreal hospital after crashing into a concrete wall and then another parked car early Monday morning.
It happened around 1:40 a.m. on Langelier Blvd, in the Saint-Leonard borough.
According to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), the motorist hit the concrete wall near the intersection of Lavoisier Blvd. The car then briefly continued northward, hitting an unoccupied parked car, in a residential and commercial area.
Firefighters from the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SSIM) were called in to help extract the victim, who was trapped in the wrecked car. He was taken to hospital, where his condition is still considered critical.
Collision investigators will attempt to determine the cause of the accident.
