For a second year in a row, Le GÉANT, a 50-foot-high metal structure will be the host of Quebec-based Cirque Éloize and its talented circus artists from July 7 to 30, in downtown Montreal.
A show taking place on Esplanade PVM at Place Ville Marie as part of the 14th edition of the MONTREAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE festival. The renowned troupe will perform nightly (except Mondays), at 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

An ode to joy
During the performances, 12 acrobats will climb the Giant, hang from it, deploying all their energy to reach the top. Trampolines, counterweights on pulleys, vertical dance, falls from great heights and aerial acrobatics are all part of the exciting show.
Director Benoit Landry has surrounded himself with a team of high-level performers and experienced designers. The musical framework, both orchestral and rooted in electronic music, is based on well-known classical works.
The large-scale show, say its creators, expresses the fascination for heights that humans have always had, the feeling of strength and exhilarating freedom that we feel when we confront the power of what is beyond us. It is, ultimately, an ode to joy and excess.
