19-year-old injured in overnight fight in Saint-Michel

A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital following a fight involving several people early Saturday morning in Saint-Michel.

Police say the incident happened around 3:45 a.m. at Crémazie East Boulevard and 13th Avenue. The SPVM received a call reporting a fight involving “various individuals.”

Upon arrival at the scene, police assisted a 19-year-old man with a possible stab wound to the upper body.

The victim was conscious when transported to hospital and his life is not in danger.

“The reasons that led to this armed attack are unknown,” said Julien Lévesque, an SPVM spokesperson. “A crime scene has therefore been established in order to allow our SPVM investigators to travel there to carry out a complete analysis and try to understand the circumstances surrounding this event.”

No arrests have been made. The SPVM is investigating.
