Goal MTL soccer tournament returns for 13th edition

A community organization that provides funding for youth soccer programs and teams held its annual festival, tournament and fundraiser Sunday.
The 13th annual Goal MTL – organized by the Goal Initiatives Foundation – took place at McGill Percival Stadium.
Attendees got to enjoy live art installations, activities for kids, free haircuts, tattoos, music by local DJs, food, drinks and more.
“The power of the ball gives us the opportunity to come together, for one cause and equal opportunity, not only on the pitch but in life, uniting us the way football unites communities,” said founder Paul Desbaillets.
The funds collected will help the organization’s goal of funding community soccer initiatives like supporting soccer clinics and camps, and providing scholarships to young athletes so they can participate in soccer programs and pursue their goals.
