Woman killed in Rawdon house fire

A woman was killed in a house fire in Rawdon in the Lanaudiere region about 60 kilometers north of Montreal.
Firefighters were called to a two story single family home located on Morin Street when the fire broke out at around 9 p.m. on Thursday.
Once on the scene, a woman in her 50s was found unconscious and her death was declared shortly after.
A man in his 50s was also located just outside the home. He was transported to hospital with injuries but his life is not in danger.
Quebec provincial police are investigating the cause and circumstances of the blaze as is the case for all deadly fires.
