Montreal Canadiens’ practice facility to be renamed CN Sports Complex

The Montreal Canadiens have announced their training facility will now be known as the CN Sports Complex.

The Brossard facility, formerly the Bell Sports Complex, is the main location for Habs practices.

The new name is due to a “multi-year partnership” with the Canadian National Railway Company.

“CN is not only a world leader in transportation, but also an iconic Canadian company which, like the Canadiens, has been based in Montreal for over a century,” said Groupe CH president of sports and entertainment France Margaret Belanger in a statement.

“The Habs are a quintessential Montreal institution and as a Montreal-based company ourselves, we wanted to contribute to our hometown in a meaningful way,” added Tracy Robinson, President and CEO of CN.

In conjunction with Rail Safety Week and the start of the Canadiens’ training camp, on Sept. 23, CN is inviting Habs fans to watch the first practice of the year at the complex.

In addition, those who attend the opening event will have a chance to win some Canadiens gear.
