By CityNews Staff

While summer may soon be coming to a close, Mother Nature is reminding us the season isn’t over yet.

The Labour Day long weekend is shaping up to be a scorcher, as temperatures continue to steadily climb and are expected to reach well into the 30s by early next week.

Friday’s forecast calls for sun and a high of 28 with the humidex.

Sun and clouds on Saturday and a high of 26 degrees.

No rain, lots of heat

No precipitation forecast at all for the weekend and next week – a nice change.

Montreal’s Sunday forecast calls for nothing but clear skies and a high of 28 degrees.

By Labour Day Monday, Montreal will be in it’s first heatwave for September. A high of 30 degrees, then 33 on Tuesday, and 32 on Wednesday.

Temperatures are expected to start dropping later in the week but still remain in the comfortable mid-20s range.
