48-year-old pedestrian dies after being struck by a motorist in Laval

LAVAL, Qc – A pedestrian lost his life after being struck by a motorist in Laval’s Chomedey district on Monday night.

“The accident occurred around 9:20 p.m. on Cléroux Blvd., at the intersection of John-Molson Street,” said Constable Stéphanie Beshara of the Laval police force.

The driver, a 21-year-old woman, was travelling westbound on Cléroux Blvd. when she struck the pedestrian, a 48-year-old man, who was crossing the street in an unknown direction.

The man was transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

According to Constable Beshara, this was an accident. There was no evidence of impaired driving or distraction.
