Air Canada has announced that it will be increasing flights to Asia in the coming months to keep up with a stronger demand.
The airline says its Asia-Pacific network capacity will expand beginning mid-December through to the end of the summer of 2024.
It will be easier to fly across the Pacific from Vancouver to Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, and Singapore.
Mark Galardo, executive vice president of revenue and network planning, says that this winter they will offer up to 57 flights per week between Canada and Asia, and up to 64 flights per week next summer.
This change includes 11 weekly flights from YVR to Hong Kong, daily flights to Bangkok, a new route to Singapore, and larger planes for many of those flights.
“Air Canada’s Asia services continue to reflect strong demand and we are boosting capacity to this geographic area as we deploy our international diversification strategy,” said Galardo.
Air Canada has not yet released pricing information for the expanded flights.
