Alouettes holding Grey Cup parade downtown Wednesday

Montreal Alouettes fans will line Maisonneuve Boulevard on Wednesday for the Grey Cup parade.

The parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Maisonneuve at the level Crescent Street and end at the “parterre” in the Quartier des Spectacles at Clark Street.

Alouettes players, GM Danny Maciocia, president Mark Weightman and owner Pierre Karl Péladeau will all take part in the parade.

Montreal defied the odds when it came from behind to defeat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the CFL championship game Sunday.

It’s the first Grey Cup victory for the Alouettes since 2010.
