Man dies after being shot in Saint-Lambert

A man in his 20s was shot dead on Montreal’s South Shore Thursday night.

According to Longueuil Police (SPAL), the victim was found around 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Saint-Lambert train station, at the intersection of Mercier and Mercille streets.

The victim was transported to a hospital where, a few hours later, he was pronounced dead after suffering serious injuries to his upper body.

The SPAL says the victim was known to police.

No arrests have been made yet and the investigation is ongoing.
