The Children’s Clinic in Montreal posted to its website and Facebook page late Wednesday saying it will stop seeing patients as of Friday.
“We regret to inform you that due to circumstances, The Children’s Clinic located at 5100 de Maisonneuve West (Glen location) will be closing. We anticipate the last day of clinic operations to be January 26, 2024.”
They add that their “clinic management is actively working with all the physicians and physician groups to ensure that they can transition their practices to other locations.”
The post explains that many physicians are looking to relocate in the area and to their sister facility in Pointe-Claire.
They also say they are working to ensure that once relocated, “your physician will have complete access to your child’s medical data needed to seamlessly continue your child’s care.”

Some parents commented on the clinic’s post, saying, “How were we not notified of this by phone or email? I had to see this post on a mom’s group… I have two children with very serious health problems I feel like we should have been notified and not just the day before closure.”
Another writing in French, “Is this a joke?”
The Children’s Clinic opened in 2015 to divert less complex patients away from the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
